How can it be February already??!!?!?!!??

How are we already in February? While the days are coming off the calendar quicker, it just means we are getting closer to more new offerings from OWS!

As I mentioned last week, communication is important.  I harken back to the dark days of March 2020 with all of the upheaval and change we needed to go through in order to “survive.”  We adapted quickly and found new ways to stay in touch.  One of the great things we did up until the shop closed were Zoom Tastings.  It was a privilege to be invited into your homes via a screen and share wine, stories and more.  As you read in this week’s Communique, we are hosting our first Zoom Tasting of the year with our great friend, Jonas Gustafsson on February 29th.  For those who have attended our Zoom Tastings, you already know how much fun they are.  For those who have not experienced one, we put together an hour or more of incredible wines, food pairings (both of which are part of the Tasting Pack) and share stories from our respective long careers in the wine industry. By kicking off with Jonas, we are setting the bar high and aim to create new memories.

Also mentioned in our Communique was our first wine dinner of the year – Burgundy with Olivier Daubresse.  We found a great location in Haymarket, VA, to do some of our wine dinners.  Red House Tavern has become one of our favorite places to eat. The food is amazing. Chef Joel Valente came from the Inn at Little Washington and brings a new dining experience to Haymarket.  I cannot wait to try his food with Olivier’s wines.  It will be magical.  Tickets are very limited and will go quickly.
