“Friday Night is Alright for Happy Hour”

Doing something outside of our comfort zone or doing something other shops were not/could not/did not doing was what made OWS successful and trend setters.

In this new virtual world, we want to continue this path of not doing what every one else is doing, or doing something we have no idea if it will work but we are going to try it anyway.  This happened this past Friday night, we did our first Facebook Live Happy Hour!  We threw out an announcement on our social media channels saying grab a bottle of wine and join us for a happy hour on Facebook Live.  In my mind I hoped at least one person would show up, thankfully there were 20 of you who showed up and at least stopped in for a few minutes.

The night was not without its technical challenges (old wine guy ≠ new tech guy) but we persevered and got it to work. It was a lot of fun, and we had some great exchanges with everyone.  We talked about upcoming events, wines, and if I missed the bistro.  We featured Occams Razor Red, several people had older vintages of this wine, it was delicious.

One of the organic things which came up was Maggie asking about Pineapple in wine.  She did not believe it would taste good.  I said of course it is a beautiful complimentary flavor in white wines. With that statement a challenge was thrown down.
