How to make your Zoom Wine Tasting an experience

How to make your Zoom Wine Tasting an experience

During the Friday Night Happy Hour, we discussed our upcoming Zoom Wine Tasting on Thursday and there were all sorts of suggestions on how to make a tasting experience even more fun.  I want to share those ideas with everyone.

Setting up for the wine tasting is just as important as the tasting itself:

  • The white wine should be chilled in the refrigerator and removed 15 minutes before the wine tasting, and opened.
  • Open the red wines approximately 1 hour before the tasting.
  • Cut all of your cheeses and meats and have ready to enjoy – its OK to grab a quick taste while doing this.
  • Get comfy in your favorite chair or sofa and enjoy!

Some suggestions to add to the Zoom Tasting experience:

  • Invite friends over to join in the fun, there is enough wine and food for 4 people. If there will be more than 4 people, its best to order a second tasting pack.
  • Instead of watching on your computer screen or iPad, hook up your TV and watch from the couch.
  • Prepare some other foods and make it a meal. Since we are tasting Spanish wines, here are some ideas for tapas or pintxos:
    • Bacon Wrapped Dates
    • Roasted Piquillo Peppers in oil
    • Canned Mussels with Potato Chips
    • Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp with garlic)
    • Classic Gilda
    • Sliced New York Strip with Garlic Roasted Potatoes

I hope this gives you some ideas of ways of spicing up your tasting experience and that you will join us on Thursday evening.

Cheers!

Bryan
