Alexana Winery was established in 2005 and is part of a portfolio of wine-growing estates that were founded in 1997 by Houston Cardiologist and Sole Proprietor, Dr. Madaiah Revana, who immigrated to the United States from India in 1973. His vision has been to produce world-renowned, site-specific wines from exceptional vineyards. He has accomplished exactly that with three remarkable brands, each named on Top 100 lists and located in California’s Napa Valley, Oregon’s Willamette Valley, and Argentina’s Uco Valley. Each wine conveys a distinct sense of time and place.
Introducing the ‘Mosaic’ Pinot Noir, a testament to the unparalleled diversity of terroir within Alexana Estate’s two vineyards nestled in the backside of the Dundee Hills. At the heart of the ‘Mosaic’ lies the Alexana Estate Vineyard, a renowned site twice honored in Wine Spectator’s TOP 100. Straddling a unique confluence of volcanic and ancient marine sedimentary soils, this vineyard features 32 blocks, each a distinct expression of soil, clone, and rootstock.
Red ruby in color, with tart red fruit notes cherry and cranberry, with a touch of cola notes. Baked spices on the mid to back palate and finishing with acidity and red plum notes.
Absolutely love Yalumba Viognier The Virilgus that we were introduced to by OWS Wine.
Bryan at OWS introduced us to this wine we had never had before. Knowing that I prefer dry whites, Bryan thought I would like it. He was wrong, I love it! We initially bought six bottles and came back for a case! No sweet after taste I find common in Viogniers.
