Andis Painted Fields Red Blend Sierra Foothills California 2017
Andis Wines was established in 2010 as a forward-thinking winery built with a green design. Their building is modern in look with a focus on sustainability and respect for the environment. They source fruit from their Estate as well as some of the best vineyards in the region to produce exceptional wines of character and varietal correctness. Crafted by stars Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky, this stunning blend will put the world on notice.
A heritage blend of Barbera, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Painted Fields puts the distinct regionality—a prerequisite for any world-class wine—of the Sierra Foothills on full display. The mouthwatering acidity and freshness derived from high-elevation plantings lends a high-toned edge to the deep concentration and
mountainous complexity that come from abundant sunshine and rocky, granitic soils.
A dense, deep purple dominates the glass with a kiss of pink in the edge. Expressive and seductive with plenty of dark fruit, violets, and Asian spice make it very attractive. The mouthfeel is rich and voluptuous, with superb depth and concentration. Broad-shouldered and majestic, standing tall with a beautiful tannic structure decorated by dark chocolate and dark fruit preserves, moving into a long finish.
