We really enjoy the wines from Antiquum Farm and what Stephen Hagen has created on his property. Using old world ways of dry farming using old school methods in a closed farm system (draft horses, compost, and natural weed suppression) the vineyard is treated as a holistic organism.
The wine itself is a blend of the six selections of Pinot Noir grown at Antiquum Farm. In concert, they convey the many dimensions of our home. The 2022 Juel displays an inherent sense of movement through the entire spectrum of the vineyard, from the higher, ethereal tones at the edges to the deep and brooding middle, all bound together by an electrical current and seamless structural foundation.
