Beginning in 1934 as Montana Wines, Brancott Estate™ takes its name from Brancott Vineyard - our original Marlborough vineyard and home. Brancott Estate has grown to become one of the largest wine companies in New Zealand.

The romance between Sauvignon Blanc and New Zealand began in 1976 when Brancott Estate took a calculated gamble and planted Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough. The result, a delightfully aromatic, herbaceous and crisp wine, which has set a new standard for New World Sauvignon Blanc.
The zesty aromas jump from the glass, with highlights of pink grapefruit, melon and gooseberry. On the palate, flavours of grapefruit, honeydew melon, and passionfruit contribute to the ripe fruit sweetness combined with a tight, fresh acidity. This is a beautifully balanced wine.

Bryan at OWS introduced us to this wine we had never had before. Knowing that I prefer dry whites, Bryan thought I would like it. He was wrong, I love it! We initially bought six bottles and came back for a case! No sweet after taste I find common in Viogniers.
