Chateau Lynch Bages Pauillac France 2015
The history of Lynch-Bages, situated in the lands of “Batges” at the entrance of Pauillac. Dating back to the 16th century, wine growers started cultivating the lands, in the early 1700’s it was formerly created into Domaine de Bages. During the late 1750’s Irishman Thomas Lynch through marriage acquired the property and converted it into the Ch. Lynch Bages. It then passed through several families, until the current family ownership began in 1929 after “The Crash.” Ch. Lynch Bages was classified as a 5th Growth in the Classification System of 1855. But do not be fooled this winery is one of the best producers in the Pauillac region if not all of Bordeaux.
