"The “DI LENARDO VINEYARDS” Estate produces quality wines from its five large family owned vineyards situated in Ontagnano (UD), in the heart of the FRIULI region.
The vineyards are located in the famous area FRIULI DOC . However, I love to joke and say we are located on the moon, as our wines are rather exceptional, thanks to their unique tastes and aromas, which are by no means typical of this area, but are essentially our hallmark !" - Massimo di Lenardo
This project started in 2003 , after selecting a particular vineyard we decided to make a severe choice of its “low production” Merlot grapes .The harvest has always been made very late and than the grapes are partially dried on racks for 1 month . After fermentation, a long 15 months in small French and American oak barrels.
Intense and complex aroma of ripe red fruit with nuances of coffee, cocoa and laurel. The firm, powerful taste is wonderfully aromatic, mouth-filling and has a pleasantly soft tannin in the long-lasting aftertaste.
