The Lamy-Pillot family adventure began in 1973, when René and Thérèse, established the house in Chassagne-Montrachet. In 1998, their children gradually took over, their desire being to continue the family dynamic and bring a fresh perspective to our agricultural and winemaking practices.
Harvested by hand, transported in small containers to preserve each grape, and patiently sorted, the grapes transform into wine in the secrecy of their cellar, where every year, a different yet precise alchemy occurs. Mostly, their wines are aged in oak barrels, where the distinct characteristics transpire without force, to then unfold in the bottle, after a slow maturation process in the coolness and humidity of our cellars.
A wonderful Bourgogne level wine that drinks like Village. Not surprising as the wine is a blend of Beaune Les Fleurs and Chassagne Montrachet, Champs de Morgeot from vines that average over 50 yrs of age. This is an elegant soft and velvety wine with red cherry characteristics with a great balance of fruit and minerality. A very nice bargain.
