Feudi del Pisciotto, an ancient fiefdom with 49 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the DOCG Cerasuolo di Vittoria, is a point of reference for wine lovers thanks to award-winning wines from all over the world, such as Nero d'Avola Versace indicated by Wine Spectator among the best 100 wines in the world. Eterno, a pure Pinot Noir and grand vin of the winery, is the symbol of the quality of the winemaking projects of Feudi del Pisciotto and its commitment to social issues.
The Feudi del Pisciotto winery combines respect for tradition and nature with the most modern technologies and produces approximately 400,000 bottles divided into 17 labels. At Feudi del Pisciotto the marriage between ancient and modern is also celebrated by reviving the ancient winemaking process that used only the force of gravity as a tool for moving the must. In fact, the grapes harvested by hand in the vineyard, after further selection and destemming, are made to slide by force of gravity into the vats in the Cellar, saving energy and limiting carbon dioxide emissions but above all avoiding the deterioration of the quality of the raw material that would instead occur using oenological pumps to move the grapes.
As is the case with the Nero d’Avola variety, Frappato also demonstrates Sicily’s full winemaking potential, able to produce a powerful, persistent and very elegant wine that inspires the taster from its very first olfactory notes, which characterize it in an unmistakable manner. Distinguished by its ruby red color and a fresh bouquet of red berry fruits and sweet spices. Round on the palate, with a lively acidity, the wine is well balanced and persistent.
