One of our favorite wineries from Mt. Etna. The wines of Passopisciario are true examples of how vineyards, elevation, location, varietal can change depending on its location on the mountain or in this case Volcano!
The Contrada C is located at 550 m the lowest of the 5 single vineyards which Passopisciario produces wine. Made from 100% Nerello Mascalese and only 4,000 bottles produced. Packed with a wide array of flavors of floral, sour cherries, strawberries, spices of cedar, licorice and violet tones. Powerful and silky textures of this wine are so delicious and tempting to drink now, but 5 to 10 years of cellaring will change this wine to another level.
