Puriri Hills Estate Red Clevedon New Zealand 2019

From a place more known for their Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, Puriri Hills is making incredible Bordeaux varietal based wines which compare on a world stage.

The 2019 vintage is a blend of Merlot(46%) Carmenere(24%) Malbec(23%) Cabernet Franc (7%) which is super elegant in a glass.  The dark garnet color gives off notes of floral, berries and savory herbs.  On the palate these flavors continue with the addition of ripe plum. spices and earthy characteristics.  Balanced with supple silky tannins and fine acidity.
