Rasa Vineyards QED Strong Law Walla Walla Washington 2021
Rasa Vineyards was started by two brothers Pinto and Billo Naravane in 2009, when they made their first two wines QED and Principia Reserve Syrah. These wines received 94 points and 97 points respectively and a dream turned into a reality. Over the next 16 years they have continued to refine and develop more wines all with stories and showcasing a particular place and varietal. Their Occams Razor red is one of our best sellers.
QED stands for Quod Erat Demonstrandum – Latin for “which was to be demonstrated.” At the end of a mathematical proof, you typically write QED. It basically means “I’m done; I’ve proven what I set out to prove.”
Intense aromatics of crème de cassis, black plum, blackberry, leather, dark chocolate, and cedar. Gentle herbal tones add secondary interest to the bouquet. Rich and supple tannins are framed by lively acidity. The palate has notes of blackberry, black cherry, crème de cassis, espresso, cigar tobacco, and dark chocolate. The finish is long and elegant with notes of crème de cassis, black cherry, and dark chocolate. This is a well balanced wine that is delicious to drink now, but it should be at its best in 7-9 years and will hold for 12+ years.
