Almost 150 years have passed since its foundation. It was the end of 1800 when Carlo Vietti started the Vietti winery, right in the heart of the Langhe, on the highest point of the medieval village of Castiglione Falletto. In the very same place where it is located today. In 1917 after many years of living in the United States, Mario Vietti the son of Carlo, took the reins of the winery and made it suitable to production of the high quality wines. It passed on to Lucinda Vietti and her husband Alfredo Currado in the 1950's who managed the property well into the 1980's/early 1990's before turning over the operation to their son Luca Currado Vietti and his wife Elena.
They continued on the tradition of commitment, vision, culture and passion to make Vietti into one of the best Italian wines in the world from the Barolo region.
The Moscato d'Asti is bright straw-yellow color with slightly shimmering hints of gold. Intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit (peach, apricot), floral notes (rose petal) and hints of ginger. Sweet and delicate on the palate, with modest acidity, and good balance and complexity. Hints of fresh apricot on the finish.
