Going back to the end of the 1800’s is where the Vietti winery roots begin when Carlo Vietti founded the winery.  Located in the heart of the Langhe, on the highest point of the medieval village of Castiglione Falletto.  Each generation of the Vietti family has left their mark on the history and growth.  In 1917, Carlo’s son Mario took over and improving the facility and making high quality wines.  In the 60’s and early 70’s Alfredo Currado husband to Luciana Vietti brought art, one of the first Barolo Cru’s, and Arneis to the market place.  In the 90’s their son Luca and his wife Elena took the helm and expanded the quality, respect of tradition, and experimentation to the levels they are at today.  The Krause family purchased the property in the 2016 and continue the same standards set for the past century.

 On the nose fruit scents of pear and peach and floral nuances of acacia and hawthorn. Typical honey notes. After 2-3 years, the mineral notes are more intense and sometimes emphasized by the typical scent of hydrocarbon which refines the wine. On the palate the wine is dry, warm, soft, and very well balanced, without any edges. It has a long lingering finish with good fresh acidity.
