Paride Iaretti "Pietro" Gattinara Italy 2017
Paride Iaretti "Pietro" Gattinara Italy 2017
Located in Gattinara, on the edge of the village overlooking the Sesia river. The 4.5 hectares of vineyards that identify it develop on the hills that slope down towards the town. Monte Rosa is the backdrop to this splendid terroir, which enchants those who come here, driven by the curiosity to understand and learn about Upper Piedmont. Our plots host almost exclusively a single grape variety, the most noble, Nebbiolo. Care of the vineyards and winemaking are entrusted to the founding member, Paride, assisted by Mattia, our talented collaborator, while Fabrizio, another of our members, will welcome you in the cellar. The social structure is numerous and varied, the passion for wine and the territory allows its creation. The company was born at the beginning of the new millennium, thanks to Paride, to then welcome, starting from 2015, within its shareholder structure, other people with very varied professional experiences. The members' common objective is to make this reality grow in size, gradually bringing it towards an annual production of around 30,000 bottles, in strict compliance with the quality, which has always distinguished our wine.
100% Nebbiolo coming from old vineyards located in the easternmost part of the Gattinara hill, with an average age of 50 years, whose processing in some cases is carried out entirely by hand due to the steep nature of the land and the narrow planting pattern. Dry and austere in the mouth with soft tannins. Possibility of aging 15 years and more. The bottle is best stored lying down in a cool, dark place. Possibility of aging for 15 years and more. It has a bright garnet red color. The nose is fruity and floral, with notes of violet, cyclamen, cherry and spices. On the palate it is elegant with a nice flavor, excellent freshness, fine tannins and a long and persistent finish.
