New Zealand is considered new world, but when it comes to Puriri Hills there is nothing new world about what they are doing there.  In 1996 Judy Fowler founded the winery to make Bordeaux Varietal wines which were all estate bottled, sustainable and an authentic expression of terrior. 

Not known for being an area which produces high quality Cabernets, but that is exactly what Judy has done.  Making wines which are created in the Old World style and simply fantastic.
